Our Philosophy
USTA is dedicated to enriching the lives of children in developing countries where poverty separates children from basic opportunities that we believe should be available to all children, including, but not limited to, education, nutrition and medical care. USTA strives to enrich the lives of children through sport by providing the following:
- Professional football training;
- Exceptional academic opportunities in the home countries of the players selected for the Academy, including English and Spanish language proficiency classes;
- Academic placement and professional sporting opportunities throughout the United States, Europe and South America;
- Proper nutrition and medical care;
- The highest level of moral and spiritual guidance;
- Housing for the players of the Academy that show a need for an upgrade in living conditions; and
- Placement in Collegiate programs throughout the West for players that cannot play professionally, but have the aptitude to play in college and receive an education in the process.
Once a player is selected for a Residential Site, they can only be removed for the following reasons:
- Failure to maintain a strong academic record;
- Failure to maintain strong moral character;
- The player informs us that he no longer wishes to participate in the program; and/or
- At the request of the player's parents.
Placement in Collegiate programs throughout the West for players that cannot play professionally, but have the aptitude to play in college and receive an education in the process.
