Matthew Zampetti

Coach Matthew Zampetti is a 2008 graduate of Wilkes University with a Bachelor’s Degree in History as well as a Pennsylvania State Education Certificate. At Wilkes, he was a 4 year member of several clubs and honor societies including the National Honor Society of Leadership. During his time at Wilkes, Matt was a 3 year member of the Men’s Soccer Team and was named to the MAC All Scholastic Team in his sophomore season. Prior to his career at Wilkes, Matt was a 4 year player at Coughlin High School. He also played for the notable Northeast Attack soccer club. Matt began his coaching career at the PIAA High School level with the G.A.R high school girls varsity program as the head coach. He also served a season with the Holy Redeemer Junior High as Head Coach and a season with the Wyoming Valley West Junior High again as head coach. Since Joining USTA in October of 2008, Matt has been the head trainer and coach of the 1999 boy’s team and the 1997 reserves boy’s team. He has attended the Mundialito where he was able to observe coaches from clubs such as A.C. Milan of Italy, Benfica and Sporting Lisbon from Portugal, and Sevilla F.C. from Spain. He also had the educational experience of observing the likes of Phil Brogan from Manchester United as well as coaches from Club Brugge and Benfica at the YPT residency camp in Maryland. He also was able to shadow and work directly with Phil Brogan during the Manchester United trainer’s camp with the USTA players. |
